In 2012, acclaimed Ukrainian filmmaker Kira Muratova, released her final film, Вічне повернення or Eternal Return [also called Eternal Homecoming in English]. The film features an eclectic cast, including fixtures of Odesa's artistic scene of the time, performing a series of "screen tests" for a fictional stalled film production. In this live performance by Shinomon Taj, the looping and repeating characteristics of the film have been exacerbated and modulated by various temporal manipulations and distortions, and then layered onto a lush and reactively evolving bed of sound.
